Bread of Life
I loved this message because of the personal invitation it describes. To think of a loving God aware of our daily needs and offering to provide for them if we will just ask... "As we understand that Jesus Christ will provide for our needs, we will turn to Him for our spiritual sustenance." Sustenance means: Something that sustains life or is essential to support health. This definition is similar to "nourish" which is found in the final question in this month's message..."When we come unto Christ, how does he nourish us.? I like these questions and think they provide a great opportunity for discussion with out sisters.

Visiting Teaching Handout:
John 14:8 is one of my FAVORITE scriptures. It is simple yet powerful. I love the VT message this month. I am so grateful to have the Savior's influence in my life. He truly is a comforter. There were so many wonderful quotes this month it was difficult to choose! I wanted to send the message that because the Savior comforts us and sets the example, we can strengthen others. Visiting Teaching is a perfect way to do that! The last quote by Elaine Jack lists the following ideas: reach out give a warm embrace laugh together sharing moments lift others Just a few examples of how VT can enrich and strengthen lives as we follow the Savior's example.

An advocate is defined as "one who pleads for another." What a beautiful description of our Savior's love for us. At the bottom of all VT messages are questions to ponder. I used the question to from the last part of the message where it invites all of us to extend mercy and forgiveness to others, as the Savior does so for us.
